Actually you need the working contract to get a visa (and vise versa :P)
What you need for visa are
- an un-signed working contract (indicating the duration and the
- amount of salary (ie Bat IIa/2),
- a letter (signed by your future boss of course) saying that you
- will get the working contract,
- your degree certificate (English version should be okay),
- your house rent contract,
- your health insurance certificate and
- your bank account activity in recent 3 months.
and then you can sign the working contract with the valid visa.
I haven't got my certificate authorised so I am not sure why they insist to do so because the English version should be enough. You may ask your secretory to inquire your "Personal Abteilung" to make sure if it is necessary. If, unluckily, so, you can ask your "Professor" to do that for you.
The other choice might be asking a church (yes, a church) or a translation company to do, but ask before you spend money on it. (Tell the secretory that all other students just use English degree certificate to get the contract.)
good luck!!

不是像你們這樣半工半讀的人看了,會以為非要有工作許可,才能申請居留簽證咧!
沒有工作合約的話應該是要存款保證?還是啥的。總之簽證那邊都要確定你活得下去就是。
